The brief (in brief)
To design a branded e-newsletter for this leading health club and manage all aspects of distribution.
Key 3 Media designed an newsletter template using the recommended Constant Contact mass email system (we also use Mail Chimp). It contained all the necessary legal compliance, contact details and social media links. We took the current members’ email list and imported it into Constant Contact and wrote content as per the club’s needs. The e-newsletters were distributed fortnightly, usually to promote an upcoming event or special offer, with open rates and unsubscribes continually monitored.
The average open rate for The Shrewsbury Club’s e-newsletters was 57%, much higher than the leisure club industry average. The e-newsletter was sent out roughly every two weeks and proved a convenient, cost effective way of communicating with club members, especially those who are not active on Facebook. It was also a handy vehicle if ever an emergency arose, with a turnaround time of 15 minutes.
