We are recruiting for a Part-time Administrative Assistant

Key 3 Media is recruiting for a part-time Administrative Assistant in Shrewsbury. This is a great opportunity for someone who has superb writing and organisational skills, who values fun and flexibility in their job and wants to learn about marketing. The role will be flexible – variety is the spice of life – with no real set hours. There may be a certain amount of pressure every now and then but that’s life. The role will be across Key 3 Media but also our sister company, thebestof Shrewsbury.

By being the backbone of the office, this position will be an excellent grounding in how marketing works. Copywriting, web design, social media management, Google AdWords… you will see why we do what we do, how we do it and how it can help businesses. You may expand from the role to become a marketer yourself. That will certainly be encouraged. Learn from the ground up, smile, take pride in your work and the world is your oyster.

Who do we want?

The team can teach you all about marketing. My wife Emma and I have been in the industry for 20 years. We can teach you how to write for sales. But we can’t teach you how to improve your spelling and grammar. There comes a point where you either have it or you don’t. So final applicants must do a written test, I’m afraid!

We will be looking to start this role at 15 hours a week, working flexibly from our office on Shrewsbury Business Park as well as a bit from home if you want.

The pay is £10 per hour on a freelance basis.

We guarantee a minimum of 15 hours a week but we anticipate that this will be increased for the successful candidate. After three months, we will both know where we stand and the offer on the table could be working with us on a fully employed basis.

The position comes with an iPhone, and you need to be familiar with Apple Mail, WhatsApp, Google Calendar, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and ideally LinkedIn. A current, clean driving licence is a requirement.

“Administrative Assistant” may sound like a junior role but the responsibilities will be big. And you certainly won’t be skivvying after anyone and making them cups of coffee. We all make cups of coffee. Work hard, have a laugh, be reliable and you will grow as Key 3 Media grows.
